Part of a cell analyser

Introduction to DNA analysis by flow cytometry

DNA analysis by flow cytometry is an excellent way of looking at cell proliferation. This one-day course will introduce delegates to the ways we can use flow cytometry to identify cell death, look at the cell cycle by single parameter analysis or by combining it with other markers to identify cells in S phase or mitosis.

The day will consist of classroom-based talks and practical demonstrations to allow delegates to see the practical aspects of these techniques. We will also include examples of data analysis using files generated in the practical sessions.

Places will be limited to 12 delegates to ensure maximum interaction. Data will be generated using the flow cytometers in the Francis Crick Institute’s Flow Cytometry Facility. The lead tutor will be Derek Davies.
