Introduction to Flow Cytometry

A one-day Introduction to Flow cytometry.

We will cover the theory of how a flow cytometer works and the practicalities of running a flow experiment by looking at:

• Fluorescence
• Fluidics
• Light sources
• Optics and electronics
• Data generation 
• Experimental design
• Data analysis and presentation

This is a classroom-based course but with some interactive exercises. We will also look at some of the common applications of flow cytometry and there will be a short practical demonstration.

Places are limited and cost £50 (excluding booking fee). Tea, coffee, lunch and materials will be provided.
