Meet a scientist at the Crick

Meet a Scientist

About Meet a Scientist

Meet our scientists, technicians and engineers as they pop into the gallery to share behind-the-scenes insights into how they make science happen.

Meet a Scientist will run weekly throughout our new exhibition, Craft & Graft: Making Science Happen. Keep an eye on our website for more dates and times to be announced soon.

Meet a Scientist sessions are designed for individuals and small groups. If you plan to visit in a group of 7 or more, or are a school group, please let us know by emailing engage@crick.ac.uk.

What's life in the lab really like?

Bring your curiosity and have a chat with some of our friendly scientists. Discover what life in the lab is like and get hands-on with some of the tools they use in their daily work.

This week's scientists are cell biologist, Rob Bloxham, who studies how cells in our body communicate with each other in both health and disease, and microscope specialist, Catherine Maclachlan, who uses high-powered microscopes to help researchers see the unseen.

FREE - just turn up at any time. Suitable for individuals and small groups.
