About Science on Screen 2019/20

This autumn and winter the Francis Crick Institute presents Science on Screen, a series of compelling dramas with a science twist.

Come along to enjoy top-notch films, complimentary popcorn, and explore the themes featured in the films with speakers from the Crick and beyond.

All screenings will be free but tickets must be booked in advance via Eventbrite. Tickets will be released four to six weeks before each event.

Despicable Me

Enjoy this family favourite film. Supervillain Gru stars in a dazzling adventure as he and his minions devise a plan to steal the moon, armed with an arsenal of shrink rays, freeze guns and battle-ready vehicles. But will the growing love of his three adopted girls soften his villainous heart?

We'll be joined by professional science communicator Dan Plane who'll lay on some pre-film fun with demos and experiments to get you in the mood. Like us at the Crick, Dan is passionate about finding out new things and knows that science is all about asking questions. Come and share in the wonder of discovery!

Age guidance: Certificate U, suitable for all the family.

Children must be accompanied at all times.

This event is free. Tickets must be booked in advance. Book your free ticket here.
