Science on Screen: Gattaca

About Science on Screen 2018/19

This autumn and winter the Francis Crick Institute presents Science on Screen, a series of compelling dramas with a science twist.

Come along to enjoy top-notch films, complimentary popcorn, and explore the themes featured in the films with speakers from the Crick and beyond.

All screenings will be free but tickets must be booked in advance via Eventbrite. Tickets will be released four to six weeks before each event.

Gattaca

In this futuristic drama, Vincent Freeman assumes the identity of a genetically superior man in order to join the Gattaca space program.

Will he be able to conceal his true identity and pursue his lifelong dream of space travel?

Followed by a panel discussion and audience Q&A to explore the themes of genetic engineering and its potential impact on society. 

Age guidance: Recommended for 12+
